On Monday, we took the short drive over to Ojai. Bill and I had passed through there a couple times before and thought it looked like a cute little town.
We drove up into the hills a little ways and found this good overlook. You can see how Ojai is in a valley, and how hilly it is around it.

Unfortunately, Bill started feeling puny during lunch, so our visit ended up being pretty short.
Back at Lake Casitas, Zou and I drove around the campground, just to see what there was to see. Here you can see pretty dramatically just how low the lake is, even after a pretty much average rain season finally. While El Nino provided much needed rain, it wasn't enough to fill this reservoir! Northern CA and OR and WA benefitted a lot more, I think. But Lake Casitas was too far south to see that much precipitation.
Still, it probably looks much better now than it did last year! And still a nice spot.
I never heard the word "puny" before. Had to look it up. New word to share with my students. :)
