Alpine Loop

Another scenic drive we went on was the Alpine Loop.  South on 189, and then right/north/west on 92, and then take one of the roads south to link up again with the 189 on the Provo end.
 On the 92...
We stopped off at Sundance (yes, the Robert Redford resort...) and met some friends (whom we met a few years ago at our favorite CO campground, and who happened to be staying at the same RV park as us in Heber City) for lunch.
Another look at the mountain resort.
And equipment (for ziplining?) all laid-out and ready to go!
And continuing our drive, it gets prettier and prettier...  I sure love mountains!!!!!!!!!
An aspen and fern-lined section of road...  Nice!

On the way back north, we stopped at a viewpoint for Bridal Veil Falls (along the 189 in Provo Canyon).  You can see all the people at the very bottom, but...
do you see all the folks who climbed up to the base of the falls?
Look at that jagged rocky slope to the right of the falls!
The Provo River, running right beside the 189 freeway.
