Colorado, here we are (were)!

So...back on June 19th, we made our way into my favorite state...
This, however, is NOT my favorite part of it...!  Parts of CO are NOT that pretty...  But other parts are drop dead gorgeous!!
 Yes, we have one...
We didn't see any signs for Yellowdog or Browndog or Greycat though...???
Talk about discrimination!!
Before landing in our favorite summer campground, we wanted to check out a town we had admired several times before.  I couldn't find any especially nice-sounding RV parks there so we stayed a few minutes south, in an even smaller town, which had a VERY nice campground!  It was a beautiful green oasis, with lovely cottonwoods and green lawns.  Two negatives - one not their fault.  It was VERY hot while we were there - around 100, as I recall.  And because they had standing water (ponds, etc.), the mosquitoes were horrible!!  They would come out when we did - in the late afternoons, when it started to become slightly more bearable temperature-wise...
A cute little waterwheel house by a pond.  (Can you see the mosquitoes?  They're there!  Trust me!!)
 Beautiful milkweed bloom.
Just a little sidenote...  Remember when we were driving through that awful patch in Idaho, where they were retarring/graveling the main road?!!!!  Well, we STILL have lasting souvenirs of that time...  Here is one of our leveling jacks, full of gravel!  And it's not the only spot that caught and kept all those rocks...!!   : (   Too bad it wasn't gold we were driving over...!!!!!
Look!  I never knew I had a bar in this town! (or any town...?!)
Downtown _____  (yup, this is where I stop telling the webworld where Waldo is...!!)
This town has neat murals painted on the sides of some of the buildings.
This one's really cool.  Colorado doesn't just have awesome mountains! And cattle ranches.  It has a lot of agriculture too - corn, peaches, and apparently apples and pears,...!

Is it real or is it Memorex?
(it's Memorex!!)

Don't know if this was just built to look old or if it is old and they moved it or built new stuff around it...  But it's an elegant house.

 And one more cool painting...
Nice lake, in the middle of a big park (incl. a dog park!).
 And back at home...
 Tractor's ready for dinner!
Observing the three-foot rule - he's actually going above and beyond (or below?) with TWO feet still OFF the table!!
