Dock walkers

Being right on the river (and this campground obviously catering mostly to fishermen), they had a dock, and we all know what docks are for - walking cats!!
Our kitties have had several previous dock-walking experiences, but it may have been awhile since the last time...  Tractor has trouble with it this time.  You can hear him saying "You want me to do what?!"
But just like learning to walk on harnesses and leashes, resistance soon turns into enjoyment (actually, the kitties quickly went from resisting to DEMANDING their walks!!!).  Here, you see Daddy coaxing him on.
Scratty, however, didn't have Tractor's issues.  She was much more comfortable with walking down the ramps, even looking over the edge.
It looks like I'm pulling her, but I'm actually just down in front of her trying to get her picture before she gets too close - she's coming down too fast!
This tethered boat is especially fascinating...
but neither cat quite finds the courage to investigate that today.
Scratty rests on a fish on the way back home.
On another, sunnier, afternoon, we take them out again.
They both love watching the river.
And we do the dock again.  See how Tracky's in the lead, dragging his dad (instead of vice-versa!), this time?!
And both kitties even do the boat!

So brave, so pleased with himself...

They even venture out on their own, farther down the dock.
Happy kitties head back, having updated their dock-walk cards!
Scratty celebrates by sprawling in some flowers.
